Ok first off, Mark it is currently 25 degrees in CT. I don't want to hear about your warm weather!! :-) Maybe one day us New Englanders will be able to do something outside again!
So I have a major problem with portion control when I'm snacking. For instance, I bought blueberry granola and dried fruit the other day. Yesterday I probably ate enough of that stuff to fulfill my entire calorie intake for the day. Definitely not good. There are certain things I know I should never buy because I'll end up eating practically the entire box. Does anyone else have that problem? For me, I should never buy cereal, dried fruit or Tomato Basil Wheat Thins because I just can't stop eating it!
At least I've hit the gym every day so far and with a 5 hour meeting today I won't even have the chance to snack! Have a good day everyone!

I totally feel your pain! I don't allow myself to eat popcorn or chips and onion dip because I truly will overindulge to the point that I make myself sick. Key for me is to just not have it in the house... or choose snacks that are more filling. I love wasa light rye with light laughing cow cheese. It really fills you up, and the crunchy and creamy combination is yummmmmmy!
ReplyDeleteportion control is absolutely a problem for me too. I won't allow granola, cereal, pasta, etc in my house becasue i snack on it out of the box. One thing I did learn that helps when I'm being very dedicated is to measure the portion into a bowl. It reminds me of what a proper portion looks like. Before I pour into a bowl, I pour it into a measuring cup. It helps!
ReplyDeleteand Aileen stole the wasa with laughing cow from ME! (lol) she is right, it is a GREAT snack!
