I'm so tired today, this no sleep thing has go to stop or I'm never going to lose weight! I did 50 minutes on the arc trainer last night after work and I'm definitely going again today.
Whenever I do a low carb diet, it works wonders and I feel great. The only reason I'm not on one right now is because I'm too lazy to go to the grocery store. It's hard to stay on if you don't have time to cook the right food. I usually stick more to the South Beach guidelines though. Atkins has way too much unhealthy fat for me to deal with. Does anyone else have certain diets that have tried that have worked for them? I've read about the Zone and Volumetrics and I'm sure a ton of other ones I can't remember, but have never bothered with them. I more just try to eat healthy food and not restrict myself too much. That doesn't seem to be working out so hot though! :-(

Teresa, I loved the zone. When I was at a better weight, it was good maintenance and gave me the energy I needed to work out and get all the Mom things accomplished as well as full time work. I need to dig that book up.
ReplyDeleteI've never tried Atkins or the zone... I have tried weight watcher which worked wonders though. It's a great tracking system and I had so much success on it. I love that you can eat everything you want- just in moderation. It has taught me some great eating habits that are long-term things...
ReplyDeleteI also tried nutri-system for about 2 minutes... haha. I bought all the food, but what was hard to keep up with was the eating schedule. For example... for breakfast you would have to have one of their breakfast things, a dairy, a fruit, etc etc. It just became too much. When I was bringing lunch to work, I wanted to make it easy, but with nutrisystem, I had to bring the entree, a salad, a dairy, etc. Too much work!
