Help, that chocolate craving always tracks me down after lunch. I just get that craving for a taste of sweet. Lunch, 4on tuna, 6 crackers, corn-cuke-tomato salad very little dressing, 100 pk rice cakes.
Any suggestions on getting rid of cravings?

ReplyDeleteI feel your pain. Two things I do for my chocolate craving. At Whole Foods (which luckily for me is 2 miles from work for me) they have these chocolate nibs. I buy the dark chocolate (72% cocoa) and I'll have a nib whenever the craving hits. Because they're small and super dark chocolate, they're not bad for you at all. The package I buy is about 1/4 lb and it lasts me about a month to 6 weeks.
Also, there's a Yogi Tea called Mayan Cocoa Spice which is yummy and has a nice mellow chocolate undercurrent.
One of my coworkers also does a diet hot chocolate packet in 0% fat Fage yogurt with some splenda. It smells really good.
I brush my teeth (chocolate tastes gross after toothpaste) then apply lipstick (I bought a superexpensive one that I don't want to waste by wearing it off on food!)
ReplyDeleteI always just have a cup of coffee. Probably not as helpful as the other 2 suggestions.... but it totally eases all my pain!!!
