ah the joy of little things. In an effort to NOT go home and eat between work and swimming, I headed to Dick's sporting goods for a new bathing suit. Dick is over priced. Dick thinks that all female swimmers are stick figures. Dick can stick it! I then went to Target where there is no selection in suits, but I got a new pair of groovy new anti-fog goggles. Went to swim laps, the class was finishing up with flip turns. The instructor asked me if I knew how (no) and then invited me to join. FUN! Now I know how and in my groovy goggles I will soon be swimming like a champ. YAY for cool, inviting instructor!

I wish I could do flip turns - that's awesome that the instructer invited you to learn (was it a "he" instructer?).
ReplyDeleteand, hey - if you've got a chocolate craving, you ought to go for the best chocolate to satisfy said craving. :-)
And I'm glad you ate more yesterday - the other days calorie counts seem really low. The powers that be (not like any of them agree on anything) recommend no less than 1200 calories a day. That's one I do agree with. Especially b/c you run and swim and generally seem very active - you need the fuel.
I agree, I generally try to stay around 1500 calories. Weekends are STRANGELY the days I tend to under eat....
ReplyDeleteoh, and no, the instructor is female, and just being sweet. But it's a whole new aspect to swimming...I haven't had water rush up my nose like that in a long time!!!
