Carb Free Week
Well I completed my first week of almost no carbs and I only miss it a little. They key to this diet, I think, is to switch it up as much as possible. I have had eggs everyday this week, but I switch up the prep. Today we made poached eggs with hollandaise sauce. I've been going to the gym when possible, but I have been more tired than usual when I'm finished. Hopefully that will pass after this week. Great job everyone on week 1. Lets keep it up.

Mark, nice job this first week. I'm not preaching, I swear, I just want you to be mindful and careful. Being more tired than usual is common when skipping carbs. Carbs (the good whole grain kind) are a store for long term energy. Without them our bodies crash pretty quickly. When I did Atkins I almost passed out during a tennis match for lack of carbs... all I'm saying is watch you're blood sugar levels. If you feel light headed or woozy drink some oj or eat (yikes) some carbs.

Thanks, I'm definitely being careful. I am drinking about 15 glasses of water a day, taking a very good multi, and keeping the caffeine to a minimum. I've been tired at the gym, but it's getting better. I doubt this is a long term diet, but we'll see.
