TL's weekend

MIA this weekend with no internet. Busy activity and so so eating.

Friday night was mechanical bull riding at Buckheads in Northern Liberties. The good news is that there is no cover charge, the riding is free, and the beer is expensive so two Blue Moons and I was done. The bad news is that chicken wings and pulled porked sandwiches are free so I ate some even though I wasn't hungry. I hate when I do that. But I'm really glad I'm not 22 anymore. I was contently home in my jammies by 11 pm!

Saturday was a concerted effort to eat right although I did not exercise and was hard pressed to leave the house. But I made myself go for a short walk to pick up the dry cleaning. I ate alright during the day but way too much at night. I even tried knitting to keep the munchies away. I've got to get a grip on this eating at night thing.

Yesterday I spent 5 hours snowboarding and was super good about eating. I PB&J sandwich, a clementine and some pistachios for lunch, lots of water to stay hydrated. One beer after the day was through.

Then I stopped to see my friend Jennifer. The bone cancer is really bad. She's got four tumors the doctor's know about. I won't go into detail but I left there feeling angry and sad. so I stopped for chips and dip and ate the whole bag. I know it's no way to deal but I couldn't seem to help myself :(

I weighed in today just to see the damage I'd done over the weekend and give myself a reality check. 176. Not as bad as I thought. Today I am being very thoughtful about my choices and I've decided to go back to the daily stop at the grocery store to get only what I need for dinner instead of stocking up for a week and then eating mnore than I should because its there. And NO CHIPS!!!
