Working out in the middle of the day definitely makes me hungry. I had oatmeal and little granola for breakfast then a small amount of wheat pasta, baby carrots and an apple for lunch. I'm still hungry! I had some pretzels rods that I need to stay away from for the rest of the day.
Weekend was so-so. It's a lot easier for everyone who is in a relationship to be good and eat healthy and not go out drinking. I have no one to stay home with, no one to cook with me, nothing. So I can be a hermit and do nothing or I go hang out with friends. Of course what else is there to do but drink? *sigh* I tried to limit my alcohol intake and I was successful in doing that. It just sucks to have everyone else around having a good time instead of worrying how many calories their beer has. I did declare a drinking hiatus that started yesterday though so we'll see how that goes. I'm also going to try to have a small dinner and no more snacking!

Drinking hiatus will help out for sure!! When you're out with your friends and tempted to eat/drink, just think of how smokin' you're gonna look in your bikinis!!
ReplyDeleteI don't know about it being easier while in a relationship... I mean, there are plenty of times were Andrew (who has a great metabolism) eats cheeseburgers and I have to eat a salad, and also, maybe its just me, but when I'm with all my friends who drink, I have an awesome time and never drink... I was in south beach and didn't drink! But had an awesome time... You're good... Don't loose hope!
ReplyDeleteI can argue either side of the relationship point. I found when I was with Jody his bad habits encouraged my propensity to eat what ever he wanted, usually pizza and high-fat meat. Being single I am more likely to go for the quick high carb fix. It's hard either way.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE Ange's idea of setting the alarm and plan to use it the next time I'm out!
The alarm is a really good idea, thanks Ange. I do see your point since guys normally eat badly and it's hard to resist that, I've fallen prey to that before myself. I meant more about it's easier to stay home and watch a movie on a Friday or Saturday night when you have someone to watch it with. That is definitely better than going out partying! I do sometimes like to stay home and get some me time on the weekends but for the most part if I'm home alone on a Friday or Saturday it makes me pretty depressed so I try not to let that happen. My other problem is that I love beer! It's like wine, so many yummy flavors, all so good! Of course, that's type of beer that is higher in calories, so I do try to stick to my boring 96 calorie Miller Lites when I'm out. Doesn't taste as good, but that's way better than the 170 calorie Cherry Wheat and Blue Moon that I love!
