i'm in!
I'm in for the next round- not sure how well I'll do, but I would love to drop another 10 lbs and just get in better shape.
Sick before vacation
So Tuesday night I started feeling crappy and now I've got a fullblown nasty cold. I feel like crap. And I leave for vacation Monday!
Just wanted to vent.
Everyone has been doing great!
I don't think I'm in for the next round, I'm pretty happy with where I've ended up and I'm pretty sure I can maintain this. I do love eating healthy - I'm such a veggie and fruit fan. As long as I keep wathcing my portions and going to the gym or other exercise a few times a week, I shouldn't revert back to my "fat" pants.
Have a great day everyone!

Is it Friday yet?
I was at work before 5 am, can I leave and go sleep now? I went on a 45 minute bike ride yesterday which was nice! Love to get out in the fresh air. Softball game tonight and I think arms at the gym on my lunch break. Hopefully I can get to bed early tonight, my large dunkin donuts coffee is already wearing off!
I'm in for the next round!

One more day
I'm sure everyone is ready for a feast! I have been good this week, but not much result. We'll see tomorrow. Good luck everyone. When is round 3 starting? See most of you this weekend!
Mark,
I'm in for the next go round. Everything I lost the first time is back on. :-( I'm sure it's because of the non-smoking and working with people that like to eat together everyday. I wouldn't trade either, but now it's time for me to get disciplined again. The worst is over and I know I'll never smoke again. :-)
Anyway, I think Annie said she's in too but we'll wait for confirmation on that. Nick said he might be interested too. I'll double check with him next time I see him.
Anyone else?

ugh
so I was hoping all that weight gain from the weekend was a complete farse... but i still have 1 lb over sticking with me :-/ I thought I might have a shot at winning, but.... last weekend totally messed me up!!! :-(
all i have to say is- thank God BBQ beef is on Saturday after the final weigh in!!

Tired!
I still can't believe I haven't lost any weight. It's ridiculous. I know I'm stronger than I've ever been but I can't say all my clothes are fitting. Part of it has got to be the lack of sleep. Yesterday I did shoulders at the gym, had 2 hours of softball practice, 1.5 hours of belly dancing and then I still had stuff to do after that. I think I got about 5 hours of sleep. Exhausted today!

over it
This is what I learned this round... don't marathon train and diet at the same time.
For me it is impossible to consume only 1500 calories a day while running more than 25 miles a week. I'm swimming twice a week (a mile swim each time) and I'm running 4 times a week. Yesterday's 24 mile run almost killed me because I had not eaten enough the day before. I've gained weight (Jackie... for the record I'm at 172) and am up 7 pounds from when we started round two and when I started training for San Diego.
However, I'm not going to beat myself up. Today I put on a pair of crop cargos that were tight on me last summer. They are fitting quite nicely, thank you very much. Although I still have a long way to go, I am more toned. I am cardiovascularly more fit than I have been in my entire life. In five weeks I'm running a marathon. I know the scale says I'm clinically overweight, but tell that to my legs as they cross the finish line

another bad eating night.
i was good on saturday until just before dinner- i bought these awesome veggie chip things at fresh market, and at a LOT of them... then dinner. we had people over for Joseph's bday. i "miscombined" again. orzo salad, chicken breast, biscuit, caesar salad, and a cupcake. i was getting the worst stomach cramps ever and i still dont feel right today. :-/ If I pull out some kind of crazy 5 lb loss this week, i might have a chance at winning ;-P

oinker!
So I totally went "nuts" today. my stomach- since last night- has been craving a "hearty" meal. mark and i went out to dinner last night- but i stuck with the spinach salad with salmon. my stomach still felt super empty. this morning, i had no green lemonade made- ran out of supplies- so i ate a few pieces of watermelon for breakfast. still dying! i caved and made myself some eggs. which isn't too bad on the diet because i didn't "miscombine" my meal, since it was just eggs. Then lunch came- I went to village point market- the best lunch place ever- and ordered a spinach salad (bacon and hard boiled eggs on that bad boy) and a caprese sandwich on whole wheat. so good thing is- i ate some raw stuff- bad part was that i miscombined. i ate from the "flesh" category (eggs, bacon, cheese falls into this category too) AND the starch category (bread), which is advised against... the author of my book says if you're going to miscombine, do it for dinner, but... i was just dying. i will *try* my best to have a properly combined meal tonight, now that my stomach feels normal again. I wish i coulda held out one more week before messing up :-/
Final Week - Bring out the ex-lax!!!!
Sorry I have fallen off the last couple of weeks. Things have been crazy at work and I can't seem to put in enough hours. I started back at the gym this week finally. 4am is too early, but if I break it up into every other day it's doable. I had 3 days of good cardio and I plan on playing golf and or tennis this weekend. I should start doing weights in a couple of weeks so that might help some more. Its almost pool time, so I looking forward to that. Low carbing is going well. I think I have finally found my groove, but I am still having up and down weeks. I eat too much red meat, but I have incorporated more fish in my diet so it's a move in the right direction. Today was the 20lb loss mark, so that felt really good. 20-30 more lbs and I will be at my goal. Are we going for round 3? I need the motivation!

Snacky
Teresa- it must be the working out in the middle of the day!! I've been eating Lara bars and they're really filling. they're all natural and truly have not junk in them. the one i had today, "apple pie," had dates, almonds, unsweetened apples, pecans, and cinnamon- that's all! yummy. As long as you're ok with the chewy texture of dates, they are a really good filling snack or add on to a salad :-)

MIA
Sorry I've been MIA lately. I received some bum news and have just been taking some time to process it. Sarah- say nothing to mom & dad, but call me and we'll talk.
I did swim 3x last week! But none this week. :( I need to stop being so sporadic.

Snacking
I totally agree with snacking stuff. Yesterday I ate everything in my snack drawer at work. Today I made myself a little list/menu with times. Breakfast was yogurt with strawberries and kiwi at 830. I had an apple at 11. Lunch was a salad and some edamame at 1230. And I'm planning on having some blackberries at 3. Hopefully writing it down makes it easier to stick to.
I need to stop snacking!
I don't know why I keep snacking! I'm eating good breakfasts and lunches. Maybe my salad didn't have enough protein on it today. Aileen, I know what you mean about the Pecans, I definitely eat way too many 'healthy' snacks. I think going to the gym at lunch makes me hungry, but it also could just be in my head. I'm not even that hungry yet I want to eat! ugh! frustrating!

Pecans = Devil
I easily ate about a cup of raw pecans. ok for the diet but..... probably not in that quantity..! sheesh. I think it's like 700 cals and 71 g of fat. I should have looked it up BEFORE eating it... :-/ This is what I get for not coming to work prepared with healthy snacks.. I think I need to change it up quickly before I get too bored.
Good to hear from everyone :-)
Hi all,
I actually went to the gym this morning too. 30 mins on the treadmill, just randomly changed it up... walk, run, jog, and varied the inclines too. I feel ok.
I'm starting to get bored of salads for lunch- trying to think of some different ideas. Tried gazpacho (it was a bust!) and going to try some cucumber "soup" later this week (thanks, Sarah!) anyone have any ideas?

ahhh . . . sigh of relief
Tax season is finally over for me. No more working til 8 or so at night. I took Friday off from work which is why I had A post my weight, and my boyfriend and I went down to Ocean City, NJ. It was a great, relaxing weekend. I took the whole weekend off from worrying about calories, but other than eating too many brownies, I think I did well. I also didn't drink much either. I even went for a little run on Saturday, it was beautiful outside. Lots of walking around the island and the boardwalk. Lots of reading on the couch too.
New week and I went to the gym this am. 2 more weeks til Cancun and bikini time.

Rough few days
Hey guys, sorry about not weighing in Friday. I had some huge problems going on and I couldn't even attempt to blog. This is a new week for me to get back to the gym consistently since the last two weeks have been very on and off. Did chest at the gym on lunch already and I'm hitting cardio after work and possibly softball if the rain holds off.

Raw Food Detox
Hi all,
This raw food thing has been going well. I mean, it's only day 3, but doing something new has gotten me pretty motivated. I've been feeling good, and not hungry!! There's way too much to explain it over the blog- but if anyone is interested, run to the bookstore and grab a copy of the book- The Raw Food Detox Diet by Natalia Rose. There's this super dark chocolate I'm allowed to have on the diet- I'm going to get some today after work :-)
Have a great day everyone!

Hang in there!!!!
Hang in there guys!!! Everyone's bodies respond differently to different types of diet and/or exercise. And there are a million different diets out there, how do you know what to choose? I went to B&N yesterday and even saw a diet that is catered to your blood type!
Not meaning to sound like a broken record.... but I really think being in the right emotional state is really the proper start to acheiving your weight goal... being able to face what's holding you back and motivate yourself to overcome is a huge factor. Try to stay positive and keep in mind that even if you're not losing weight, just being in better overall health and making better choices is a great success.
Maybe try some new forms of exercise or a different diet to change it up.... maybe getting out of your usual routine will engage you more... keep you more motivated. As my WW points had been working, I had made some bad choices in the last few weeks, causing my last 3 weigh ins to be virtually the same. This week I am trying a raw detox diet.... the book I got suggests this as a way of life... although I don't know how long I can stick to it!
The cool thing is- the diet is only about 75% raw. I can have cooked food... the main points are eating foods in the right combinations, and eating organic and unprocessed foods. Today's just my first day, and I've been good thus far... even got a juice extractor and made some "green lemonade!" I'm gonna make some fresh OJ tonight... can't wait!

Same here!
I know how you guys feel. I want to lose weight so badly yet I feel like there is always something getting in the way! Last week I had to skip the gym a couple days for different reasons, this week I'm in training in NJ and have no gym access. Doing some stuff in the hotel room is good but its not the same. Not to mention eating out all the time. Even making healthy decisions you still end up eating extra calories. My cowoker and I had amazing sushi last night, plus some sake. Then since neither of us wanted to go back to our rooms to do work we decided to go have wine and dessert. At least it was somewhat healthy dessert if that's possible. We had fruit and then these little pastry things with chocolate in the middle. good thing they were tiny! I can't wait to get back home and hit the gym and stop eating out!

me too!
I'm so in the dumps about not losing anything and I know that my mood spirals me into bad eating habits. And the more mileage I tack on for this stupid marathon, the hungrier I am and the more I want to eat. How is it possible that I run 35 miles a week, swim a mile twice a week and am STILL a fat cow?
Today's battle was discount-easter-candy vs. 35-laps-in-the-pool. It was a draw. I didn't leave my house to swim because of the lure of stopping at the grocery store (I have virtually no food in the house)and the bad decisions I'm in the mood to make. So I neither swam nor bought candy. I sit here typing away trying not to eat anything because that will turn into me eating everything. Which would be F'd up and look something like left-over chinese, b&b on wasa, turkey breast, cheese, and zucchini & rice. Instead I took a hot shower and gulp down sleepy time tea. I write this in hopes that getting it all out will help it go away so sorry for the rant, but I want to give up. I visited my parents yesterday and that depresses me because they are both very overweight and I see it as what I have ahead of me so why fight it? (I know that doesn't have to be true, but it's where I am right now.)
~sigh~

Gluttony... for real...
Hey guys,
So Saturday and Sunday were sooooooo gluttonous. I ate so much pizza. Seriously. I probably ate the equivalent of close to one whole pie between the two days. Oddly enough- the craving was so insane that I don't even feel bad for having eaten it all. (I will probably change my mind after weighing myself though.)
Tonight I am drinking a ton of tea and water (after having another slice of pizza of course...). I may try to begin some kind of detox or something tomorrow.
Also- this weekend, I rekindled my love affair with Lemon-Berry Slushes from Sonic. A small is a "mere" 217 calories, but 4 WW points. Annie had a great idea to sprinkle some benefiber or something in there to up the fiber to hopefully reduce the points!! Hope that's not cheating- because I will be drinking them for sure this summer. I guess either way- it's better to spike it with benefiber than with vodka!! ;-P

Busy Week
I cut down on my saturated fats by cutting bacon out, but I still didn't get to the gym. I had to fill in as production manager this week so that was very taxing along with my regular duties. Aileen made a good suggestion to commit to 2 days a week at the gym instead of 5. I think thats reasonable. It has to be AM because by the end of the day I'm beat. Looks like everyone is doing great. Keep up the good work.

Swimming
http://swimming.about.com/b/2008/04/20/is-swimming-a-good-exercise-for-weight-loss.htm
You have to read the comments after this. I'm not sure I really agree with this article or some of the comments. I'm a believer that diet is way more important than exercise. Exercise is good to build and tone muscle, but I really feel to lose weight, you need to eat healthier. In all the research I've done and my own experience at this point, I'm pretty sure that if I had kept eating and drinking alcohol the way I was before we started this contest, I wouldn't have lost as much weight.
http://www.svl.ch/Fatburner/ Read the last paragraph on the right in this. I think that's the real problem here.
Nicole and TL - keep up with the swimming. Remember that a little activity is better than no acticity (not that TL does nothing - crazy marathon runner). Don't be discouraged and really focus on what you're eating. More fruits and veggies has been so great to reduce my calorie intake and still keep me feeling like I'm snacking. I always want to reach for something to snack on at work while I'm sitting on my butt all day looking at numbers, and reaching for celery, apples, peppers, etc has really helped me.
http://www.thefactsaboutfitness.com/research/swimming.htm
I think the key to this article is the fact that calorie consumption wasn't tracked.

Weigh-In
163.2 :(
My aquagoggles came in, and I had to go & buy a new suit (because the ones I had in my dresser were from 10 years ago and 30 punds ago) , and then I bought some new swimming caps. And then I joined the Y. And then I finally (after a month of procrastinating) got into the pool last night. I worked out for about 45 minutes and then got home and joined a cool website called Swimplan.com. They come up with daily workouts for you based on your ability and how much time you can be in the pool. So cool! And then I read some article about how swimming isn't good for losing weight. Seriously? What the F?
And I've come to the realization that I probably don't eat enough consistently. There are still some days I will skip breakfast and just have coffee. I don't snack much while I'm at work during the day (it's the part time job next to the candy store that kills me- even if it's twice a week). And I definately don't get enough water. I judt don't drink many fluids. Coffee in the morning, a couple of water bottles a day and maybe a diet soda every other day with lunch.
It's great to see so many of you guys making good progress!

Feeling good
My bf got up with me this am and went to the gym! It was nice to have the company. So last night I had an apple with peanut butter and almonds for a snack. Then went grocery shopping after work and picked up takeout for dinner. I had my usual shrimp with rice and broccoli. Ate 3 shrimp, all the broccoli, and a couple bites of the rice.
Did 2 miles on the treadmill and then some weights as usual this am.
Breakfast is a hardboiled egg and a banana.
Have a great day!

I need a mental health day
Why is my life so crazy?! Always! I never made it to the gym last night thanks to some work on my car that took much longer than it should have. I got like 4 hours of sleep since I got home so late. My schedule this evening isn't any better. I really do need a day off of work. Next week I'll be in NJ for 3 days of training maybe I can fit some sleep in then!
So far today a LARGE dunkin donuts coffee with skim milk and splenda and plain oatmeal with little granola and craisins mixed in. I'm hoping for a good weigh in tomorrow. I checked today and it said 130.4. Definitely better than last week's 132. I agree that checking your weight every day helps, it's like a reminder to be good!

The rest of wednesday
i came home, considered not going to the gym, then finally went. so... here's a sign that i haven't been working out hard enough... i got on the treadmill, decided to run, maybe give the intervals a try. after jogging at a steady pace, my sweatpants (um... and what's underneath them) start sliding down.... i'm running, pulling them up, running a few more steps, pulling them up again. needless to say, i only kept up with it for 25 mins. so. it reminded me that: a) i lost some weight and b) i need to get some drawstring pants and get my ass on the treadmill regularly.
My dinner was soup and a ton of water when i got home... finishing out the crazy snacking day at 21 points. not bad.

Snacking is the theme
I'm also snacking a lot this afternoon. I do great in the am, but the afternoon goes on too long. I did avoid the rice crispie treats and cookies in the kitchen.
Lunch was tuna sashimi and homemade tuna salad (w/ apples, craisins, tiny mayo and mustard), raw green pepper with hummus.
Snack was apple with peanut butter, trail mix, almonds, and a smooshed fruit thing. I'm going for a light dinner tonight. I'm planning on grocery shopping after work.
I'm going for another gym morning tomorrow!

So far today... ugh! i don't know what's wrong with me. Maybe it's because I'm pre menstrual...
Coffee
Sandwich flat and lo fat cheese
fritos :-/
caprese salad (more caprese, less salad....)
split my leftovers from last night with amy
1/2 or 3/4 bag of munchos.... :-/
I'm at about 18 points already!!! And it just felt like someone kicked me in the ovary!! OUCH!

Update
I have been bad with updating! I think I forgot last Friday's weight entry-
Ugg! I gained 2 pounds back. I was 160 for a day, and now am back to 162 but it could all be related to water. needless, it has left me with a new motivation!
Last night I went to Salad Alley and turned down the roll. Today I am craving an afternoon snack and am drinking tea instead. I am staying within my Weight Watcher Points. So far, have worked out Mon and Tuesday when I did not have time to. yeah! These 20 pounds need to go Bye-Bye!!! The secret for me is to weigh myslef every single day-I have never weighed this much before and looking at the scale every morning scares me and motivates me to make the sacrifices to eat right and exercise.
Hope everyone is doing good!

munch munch munch
Today I am a gigantic caterpillar and the world is my leaf.
I can't seem to talk myself into healthy decisions.
I've eaten yogurt, banana, butterscotch krimpets, 1/2 a chocolate donut, 1/2 a cina-bon, chicken on a sour dough roll, steamed vegetables.
I have a dentist appointment this afternoon, perhaps that will stop my rampage.

A new day
So last night I did the elliptical for 20 minutes and then 2 miles on the treadmill. I'm trying to switch it up a bit. I went home and boiled some eggs and made some tuna salad, but I didn't really eat anything for dinner. I had 2 wasa crackers with peanut butter before I left work. I got home from the gym around 930.
This Am, I had my class at 6, wow she kicked our butts as usual. Lots of body weight exercises using the core.
Breakfast - 1 hardboiled egg, and an apple.
Hopefully I do well with my snacking again today.
Have a great day!

trying not to stress eat
good news/ bad news. the guy who gives me a hard time at work volunteered to take a layoff. good, I don't have to fire him; I just have to do ALL of his work instead of just SOME of it. Can anyone arrange an extra 8 hours in a day??? I am having an anxiety attck and that often leads to stress eating. Chamomile tea don't fail me now...

Starving today!
Working out in the middle of the day definitely makes me hungry. I had oatmeal and little granola for breakfast then a small amount of wheat pasta, baby carrots and an apple for lunch. I'm still hungry! I had some pretzels rods that I need to stay away from for the rest of the day.
Weekend was so-so. It's a lot easier for everyone who is in a relationship to be good and eat healthy and not go out drinking. I have no one to stay home with, no one to cook with me, nothing. So I can be a hermit and do nothing or I go hang out with friends. Of course what else is there to do but drink? *sigh* I tried to limit my alcohol intake and I was successful in doing that. It just sucks to have everyone else around having a good time instead of worrying how many calories their beer has. I did declare a drinking hiatus that started yesterday though so we'll see how that goes. I'm also going to try to have a small dinner and no more snacking!

Monday so far
Breakfast - apple with Fage whole yogurt (which I didn't finish b/c I got pulled to a meeting and by the time I got back - it got a little watery at the top).
Lunch - grilled chicken salad with cucumber, green and red pepper, tomato and 1 tbsp of newman's light honey mustard dressing (35 calories!). Also, a little leftover fruit salad.
Now I'm going to try not to snack like I always do til at least 330-4. Thank goodness for tea.

Week and weekend
141.5 on Friday, same as usual. Only got on the elliptical and weights, 3 times this week. No wonder I am in maintenance mode and not losing. I am eating well during the week, this week was bad with a quesidilla burger on Sat and Fried chicken on Sunday.
That's all folks.
That's all folks.
Sarah's weekend
So I didn't eat that great Fri night and Sat, but Sunday was good. Brian and I went out to dinner Fri night, had the steamed littleneck clam app with some bread, and spinach ravioli, veal in a brandy cream sauce. I don't even want to know how many calories and fat that had. Saturday, I worked, breakfast was yogurt and an apple, lunch, some organic steak and cheese panini - 370 calories, snack was raw green pepper and yogurt with cinnamon cereal. Dinner was leftover spinach ravioli and veal.
Sunday was better, went to the gym in the am - did 3 miles - 2 mi intervals and the 3 mile was incline run. Then some weight training and stuff for an hour. My friend Rachel and I kick each other's butt - it's great. Lunch was a spinach wrap with grilled chicken, provolone, red peppers, spinach. Yum. very satisfying. Snack was a cucumber. Dinner was 3 wontons and some broccoli. I had some fatfree frozen yogurt for dessert.
So I bought 2 new bathing suits online for Cancun. I put up pictures to remind myself to eat better. One picture is on the fridge at home, one picture is in my bedroom (reminder for gym) and one picture is at work in front of my healthy snack drawer. While I eat healthy snacks, I think I've been eating too much healthy snacks. I want to cut back on that.
This am I did 2 miles and then weights.
Have a great day everyone!

17 miles and a cheeseburger
wooo-doggie! I haven't run that far in ages! Of course around mile 13 I started thinking of food, cuz that's what runners do when they're tired. I was envisioning a nicely grilled medium rare burger dripping with ketchup on a soft but firm kaiser roll topped with lettuce and a slice of tomato...mmmm Mm! And that is EXACTLY what I had for dinner after the grapefruit and slice of quiche for lunch landed short of replenishment and left me with a protein craving urgency to consume as much red meat as I could possibly stomach. ahhh, but for cheeseburgers paired with ice cold beer I would be a good vegetarian.
saturday - total calories 1640 (no exercise)
sunday - total calories 2500 including the vanilla icecream I'm about consume to balance out the burger :) exercise - well, 17 miles and at least I walked the 1/2 mile to and then from the bar!

Sunday
I discovered a couple of things yesterday that are awesome for my diet. Thought maybe they might help you guys too.... (as long as you're not on low carb)
Arnold Select Sandwich Thins 100% whole wheat. Really great way to have a sandwich or bread with soup or something, all for 1 WW point!! 100 calories, 1 g fat, 5 g fiber, 5 g protein. It's like a flat round roll... I had one with breakfast this morning, and one for lunch with my veggie burger... such a great way to save calories!!
Kozy Shack no sugar added rice pudding. I don't usually like things with Splenda (for the taste and the chemicals), but it's barely noticeable, and this is helping me with my sweet tooth! 90 calories, 3 g fat, 3 g fiber, 4 g protein. convenient lil' individual serving size only costs me 1 WW point!!!
So here was my sunday. You will notice a lot of nasty nasty snacking but... hey... it was a lazy lazy sunday. I just have to be good for the rest of the week and I'll be ok :-)
Coffee - 1
bread & lowfat cheese - 2
veggie burger, lofat cheese, bread - 5
salad w fresh mozz, balsamic dressing - 3
3 cookies :-( - 6
deviled eggs - 3
chips :-( - 2
pork rinds - 2
other half of roast beef sand - 5
total= 29.
I started my week on saturday- so I have 26 flex pts left.

only 1, better than none
Still haven't gotten down to the 165 I started at, but at least I can report 167 today. The good news is lots of people have been telling me I look good. Last night I recieved a "you look buff" as well as a "you've lost weight!"
so, slow and steady.
so, slow and steady.
Ugh
163.0 I knew that diet of conch fritters, smoked fish dip, fried grouper and Planter's Punch wasn't good for me.
My prescription aquagoggles should be arriving today, which means I will FINALLY get my ass over to the Y. I've had dreams of swimming again, so I hope this is the push I need to jump start some wieght loss.
I do eat pretty well, all things considered. As I mentioned before, it's my portions that are out of control (and the candy store being right next to Yankee Candle where I work part-time).

Wow. Teresa's weigh in
Ok so the scale said 132 this morning. This is getting ridiculous. I will admit this is not the same 132 as when we started the first round of blogging. Some of this has to be muscle or else i don't think i'd be fitting into my clothes. Or maybe I'm just telling myself that to make myself feel better. Either way it sucks.
About 250 calories this morning for breakfast, oatmeal and a large coffee.
6.5 hours of sleep last night. still tired though.
Going to happy hour after working but gonna try to be good! And gym on my lunch break - wh00!

I assumed this was going to happen, but i'm ready to get back on track.
Thursday:
Activia yogurt w/ peaches
1/2 roast beef sandwich
krispy kreme doughnut (that damn business expo!! cost me 7 WW pts!!)
multi grain cheese puffs
one svg of cheddar cheese
roasted chicken- 1 wing and some slices of white meat
roasted potatoes and carrots
green salad
by the time dinner came around, I lost track of points. I screwed up pretty badly this week. Ready for a fresh start this week. However, I am going out for sushi for lunch... i'll have to be extra good :-)

Slow Week
221 Here. I did not get enough sleep this week. I did not hit the gym and our trip to Philly did not help matters much. My diet was very good through the week. I should have drank more water too. I am definitely getting in the gym this weekend, and I am going to commit to at least 2 days during the week. I have to limit work to 12 hours a day and go to bed before 9. That's the plan. Regardless of the loss, I am still very determined, and I promised myself I will do better next week. Keep up the good work everyone. 4 more weeks.
Plateau?
125.5
I knew I'd hit a plateau soon. I also knew I didn't eat the best this week either. 4 weeks til Cancun. And just a couple more pounds that I want to lose. This will be the toughest for me. But I feel newly motivated. And I have been getting a few compliments at work which really make me feel great.
Keep up the good work everybody!

Is there carbs in that?
Things are going well here. My body still adjusting to this diet, but things are progressing. Last weekend was tough because we traveled. We went to a few restaurants, so that was tough. You never know what is actually in the food, but I tried to make good decisions. Aileen really helped me by prepping food for the drive. Next time I will be better prepared. I hope everyone else is having a good week. I will post my results in the morning.
Disappointed
So I'm pretty disappointed with myself. I can't seem to lose a pound and it's very frustrating. Nothing seems to be working. I don't even know if there is a point to blog anymore. It's hard to see everyone else's success, it just makes me feel worse about myself. I know I need to start counting calories if I want to lose weight but it's hard to keep track I get so busy during the day. It's also very hard to have fun and diet! My friends are always going out drinking and having a good time. It's hard to say no to that. I'm at a loss at what to do. Maybe I should do some type of detox to clear all the junk out of my system. Anyone got any other ideas?
Wednesday
Hey all,
Finally got back on track with the diet yesterday. 15 WW pts... from looking at all my notes, dinner really is my weakness. when I'm not watching what i'm eating, i'll easily eat 2-3 times more than i should... :-/
And I slept for about 6 hrs last night, it was really great! I did wake up around 545am, but didn't get to exercise because I had a 7am meeting.
Looking forward to another good day.

Swedish Fish
today was good except for the swedish fish. I don't know why I love them, they don't taste like much, but I love the chewy-pull-out-my-fillings texture of them. At least they are fat free.
calories: 1480

s - chex mix, plain tea
s - apple, coffee
SWEDISH FISH
d- 1 cup brown rice, chicken, spinach & mushrooms, tea
s- berries & light n fit yogurt, chamomile tea
observation: day 5 of no alcohol. I feel a difference in my attitude towards food. I can't define it yet, but there is something different in my approach.

So I feel like I've been inconsistent with my food habits in the past couple days. Snacking more often and feeling less focused in general on my eating. I feel this week may not be that good. I'm still working out, I just think I'm eating more than I should and I'm eating more processed foods than I was earlier in our challenge. I think part of that is because I'm almost to my goal, I feel like I can slack a little.
Any tips for remotivation?
Last night I ran 3 miles (intervals - kicked it up to 7.5 for 1 min twice). This am, the trainer for class had us spin for 20-25 minutes and incorporated some chest presses, shoulder presses, bicep curls while we were on the bikes. Tough workout. And then we did some additional shoulders and back weight training. Breakfast was 1 cup of kashi cinnamon harvest cereal and a smooshed fruit flat. Lunch was tuna sashimi (so good) and cream of broccoli soup. I snacked on a raw red pepper as well.
Have a great day everyone!

Tuesday
I'm still not sleeping well. I gave blood yesterday, luckily I didn't pass out. In exception of dinner, I had 16 WW pts (i snacked a lot to make sure everything went smoothly last night with the donation... before and afterwards) then i totally screwed up with dinner. 4 buffalo wings, potato chips, salad (not bad), and a big ol' hunk of garlic bread :-(
I promise myself to be in bed by 9pm so I can fall asleep by 930pm and NOT turn on the TV! I will wake up at 545am as I used to ... to get in some kind of exercise. Mark went food shopping last night, so I'm armed and ready to make my healthy meals.
I am not expecting any weight loss this week- I'm actually expecting that I'll show a weight gain.
