I agree that we haven't really been into it this time. I've been pretty bummed that I haven't been able to go to the gym because I've been sick and because of some other stuff going on. Hi all,
looks like we're not really in the spirit of round 3. maybe we've just been doing it for too long. anyone have any new ideas to keep us motivated and communicating about our weight loss goals and progress? i could really use some motivation right now :-(

what a weekend
124.5 Fri morning.
I did not even want to look at the scale this am after a gluttonous but incredibly fun and relaxing weekend in NC.
Time to get back on track to look incredible wearing the sexy dress that A is lending me for a wedding in less than two weeks.
unfortunately, I can't run right now b/c I knotted up my back last week at class and in limping around like a cripple, my knee feels a little funny. We'll see how class goes tomorrow.

Late weigh in
131 again when I weighed myself on Friday. My dinner and 3 glasses of wine on Thursdsay didn't help that since I was 130 Thursday morning. This weekend was ok but not great. I'm still sick which is unbelievably annoying. I've barely been to the gym because of it. Plus I'm in a training class all week so I won't be able to hit the gym at lunch. 2 softball games tonight, if we don't get rained out. hope everyone had a good weekend!

what ive been eating...
Maybe I should be honest about my food intake. I haven't been posting it because it's been absolutely disgusting. Luckily I haven't gained a lb because of all my working out. But the bottom line is... if I hadn't been eating like this, I'd probably look super hot in a bikini by now!!! :-( oh well.
I guess we'll start with yesterday...
Green lemonade
2-3 cups of coffee
3 key lime cookie straws (6 is a serving. but for breakfast?? geez.)
spinach salad with mung sprouts, mushrooms, cucumber, balsamic dressing, and a bag of fritos. not the 50cent size... but the 75 cent size... :-o
potato chips
2 slices of cheese pizza, homemade
glass of white wine
Today so far...
coffee, water
banana-mana bar
handful of pork rinds
cajun shrimp wrap w/ fries (more like chips because of the shape, but a fried potato nonetheless... ) I ate the whole thing. i was thinking halfway through, I should stop. but i kept going and also ate almost all the fries... chips... whatever.
and i'm going out to dinner tonight.
It seems as if I've been trying to justify my meals like... ok, if I have green lemonade first thing, i can have coffee and whatever else for breakfast. or... as long as I have a salad, I can gorge on dominos cheesy bread and pizza. ugh!!!!
I'm going to refocus on monday. i'm just not ready today....

I'm still alive I swear!
Ok so the cookies and not working up last week caught up to me and I was back to 131 on Friday. I don't even know why I didn't post, I must have been busy at work! The weekend wasn't much better. The party I went to had home made Italian cookies...yum. And yesterday I played a little softball, did chest at the gym and then had drinks and peanuts afterward. Gotta start focusing today. I feel like crap though! My doctor put me on steroids cause I'm still sick and someone told me that they make you hungry. Has anyone seen that before? I hope that's not true! I need to stop eating!

been out of the loop
The confession: While I've been MIA I've gone back up to 175.
The bad news: That means I gained almost all of the weight I lost way back in round one. I won't blame it on anything other than lack of discipline.
The good news - marathon #8 completed. (scientifically impossible to understand how that bad news can accompany this good news, but there it is)
The better news - I am rededicating myself to healthy eating.
This weekend I have had zero alcohol or junk food. I've been active Friday and Saturday and have a run planned with the club tomorrow. Monday is my first intense Salsa lesson. I have SIX weeks to look super sexy on the dance floor. Well, super sexi-ER, that is ;) lol
So even though y'all are probably in the middle of a round, I hope you don't mind if I unofficially tag along and get inspired from the great success I'm reading. I've missed this crew!

Mark's weigh in
206.0- I know I lost more but I had to weigh in last night. The meat eating is going well! My stress level is a 11 on a scale of 10! Hopefully next week is better.

Same weight, BUT feel healthier and stronger and clothes def. fitting better. My new tennis shoes are coming and I'm excited! On the court, I am definitely moving faster. If anyone wants to come hit, please come out! Tennis is such great exercise and I love running around.

140 :-/ I'd say "WTF???", but I really can't worry too much. I was very active this week. Dakota and I walked nearly every morning this week and at night we would go out on the tennis court and hit some tennis balls.(me and the kids, not Dakota) The fact that my weight hasn't changed is a little upsetting. However, I showed both Michelle and Annie yesterday, that I could easily pull down my jeans without unzipping them. (I'm trying to figure out why michelle nearly went into shock and annie barely blinked an eye)
I know it's just a number and I know I'm clearly getting in better shape but being stuck at 140 when I know I should easily be less is a little discouraging. The fact that I can walk/jog with Dakota about 2 miles in the AM and still go out on the tennis court for an hour an a half in the PM is pretty encouraging. It sure beats sitting.
I told Annie, I'm not going to stop what I'm doing. Sooner or later, it's all just going to 'melt' off. I truly believe that. I just wish it was melting....even slowly. I hate 'stuck'

If you like the Lara Bars (Teresa!), try Weil by Natrue's Path Organic Pure Fruit and Nut bar. I don't think they're raw like the Lara Bars, but still yummy. I opted for the Banana Manna bar instead of stealing some of my mom's croissant. whew!

Tuesday
i was pretty good until i got a gift basket from a certain someone :-) although i had one bite of the almond roca and the 2 lil' white choc and raspberry cookies. YUM. Then dinner was a case of "i'm just eating what we have in the house." (not that i didn't enjoy it!) whole grain wild rice with fish sticks and ketchup. totally reminds me of my childhood (well, it was just white rice then). Went to the gym this morning b/c i'm making dinner tonight!

Bad Sarah
Ugh - I have been totally off track with my eating and my stomach is letting me know. Time to get back to healthy eating. Fruits and veggies. Hopefully my stomach will feel better after a couple days of that.

No gym
So i haven't gone to the gym in a few days thanks to being sick. still not 100% but i'm gonna try to go to belly dancing tonight for some sort of work out at least! it's kinda a crazy week. i'm in training for 3 days and they have those deadly cookies that they freshly bake for us at 2 pm. i had to have the oatmeal cranberry ones yesterday even though i tried to resist. my other 3 meals of the day were healthy at least! Today so far I have had the turkey sausage egg white flatbread from Dunkin Donuts plus a coffee for breakfast. Lunch soon and I plan on having a salad!
No Doubt!
So I went to the No Doubt concert last night and it was AMAZING! I hope all the jumping and dancing around I did made up for my day off from the gym....!
yesterday was good until dinner time.... Joseph gave me a choice of Bojangles or McDonalds. We went for McDonalds because believe it or not- the choices there are more healthy! Had a grilled chicken sandwich, no mayo, fries, and some sprite. at the concert i had this bacardi twister thing and a huge huge miller lite... then on the drive home, a bag of grandma utz kettle cooked potato chips. oh well.
hoping for a decent eating day today. it's so weird, even though my eating has been crappy and my weight hasn't changed, i'm still feeling pretty good. put on a pair of pants last night... i had gotten them years and years ago at anthropologie. i wasn't in a try-on mood, so i just bought them. size 6 seemed to be a good choice (i think i was b/w a 4 and a 6 at the time). I brought them home and... they were TOO tight! i was so upset, but was hoping to get into them someday. I have to say I was only able to wear them after I got my tonsils out... you remember- no eating for 2 weeks! And I never put them on again... until last night! I can't wear them, they are sorely "out of style," but hey. i'm glad i held on to them!!

Turkey Pepperoni
Does anyone else eat turkey pepperoni? Cause I do and you know what? It's gross! I'm gonna just go ahead and admit it! Every time I eat that stuff my stomach hurts and yet I still buy it. What is wrong with that picture? *sigh* just gonna have to eat the low fat cheese minus the pepperoni! Good thing I bought a gigantic bag of Polly-O string cheese from Costco! :-)

Wrong direction.... grrrrr.... but really I'm ok with it. It's not where I want to be nor was I intending to gain weight but it's all good. My sleep is screwed up (last night was purely my own fault) and I know until I get back on track with that, I'm not going to be too motivated otherwise. Heck, we've used our tennis rackets a couple of times this week and also the jump rope. The weight may not be coming off, but my heart & lungs are getting stronger and my legs & arms are moving more. AND I got to be with my kids alot this week because of it. I'll take the additional pound if it means I get to spend hours with my kids having fun. I'm pretty sure all the laughing we do is tightening up my ab muscles anyway. :-)
I do however have my suspicions about Annie. I think she keeps plying me with food so she can beat me but more so I can't borrow (steal) her dresses any more. LMAO

Thursday so far
Green lemonade, a brownie (gasp), coffee, and a banana... made a big salad for lunch and split with amy... baby greens, mushrooms, grilled chicken breast, sprouts of some kind w/ homemade "liquid gold elixir" dressing... and I ate 1/4 of a steak biscuit (free sample from the vending machine man. damn him!!!!). at least i only ate 1/4.

Sore!
My whole body hurts and I'm sick! Skipped the gym yesterday cause I was so exhausted and had a glass of wine so that was a tiny cheat. Everything else was good though and so far today I've had egg whites for breakfast and a couple cashews and almonds. Should be doing shoulders at the gym today and then softball later, if I don't pass out at some point before then!

Finally
I went grocery shopping last night and stocked up on healthy stuff. Veggies, fruits, yogurts and more tea. I was bad this week. I did weights at home Saturday, but no gym Sun, Mon or Tues. So class on Wed morning and I got up this am too. I'll definitely get up tomorrow morning as well. Hopefully with all the fruit now, I won't eat so much crap like I did this weekend. We ordered Chinese Sun b/c we were lazy and didn't feel like trying to make anything. Sat was 2 picnics, so I had some beer and lots of food. I have not weighed myself all week b/c I'm a little nervous. But my clothes still fit, so I don't think I've done too much damage.

Massage anyone?
Ugh I am soo sore from the gym and various other activities. I think today is a good hot tub day! Day 3 on South Beach is going well. Scrambled eggs with green peppers for breakfast, eggplant for lunch. Not feeling so hot today though, my throat is sore. I hope I'm not getting sick!!
I've been slacking.
Not gonna lie, I haven't posted because my food intake is just shockingly disgusting. For example- so far today I've had green lemonade, 2 huge coffees FULL of white sugar and powdered creamer, 2 crab rangoons, and a persimmon. Gross.
Personal training session #.... 6 yesterday. OMG- it was pretty serious! I don't have another session until next monday (or maybe later... depending if I get in on the No Doubt concert in raleigh!!) . Let's hope I can keep up with my homework.... 100 cals or the treadmill at 15% incline... no holding allowed :-/ and 100 cals on the arc trainer at 10 incline and 100 resistance!! i'm getting out of breath just thinking about it.

Anyway, I had a horrible day yesterday (not with food but emotionally) and when I read this, I grabbed my kids and daughter's b/f and I bought us all (cheap) tennis rackets and balls, then went to volley some balls. I don't care if we can't play tennis, what I care about is that we moved our butts for well over an hour... then came home and we all jumped rope.

Back on track
Aileen I know exactly how you feel. This weekend was rough with 2 nice dinners and a family get together plus some leftovers! I started South Beach today though. I just have to do it and be serious because clothes aren't fitting and that's grossing me out!
So far today I had a veggie omelet thing from the cafe and now i'm having a salad with some turkey and ham. Did chest and the gym already and later i'm going to do some cardio and I have a softball game. If we go to the bar that sponsors us afterward I'm not drinking or eating peanuts!
