still 182
I've reduced calories and upped exercise. I wanted to blame it on my monthly (or more like bi-monthly! ) body change but the truth is I just remain FAT. ~sigh~
Signed up for Tough Mudder in April. So I have to kick up the fitness. The 10 mile course will include wall climbing, crawling under electric wire, and something to do with fire. FUN!
I ran a lot last week and over the weekend. On Sat & Sunday I ran 6.5 miles each day.
Last night I worked out with a friend that has a body I envy. Instead of feeling demotivated I asked her lots of questions. The answers were simple - focus on some weight lifting to build muscle because muscle burns calories even when you are at rest. I know this. I just needed the reminder. (and someone to stalk in the gym with out them feeling like I'm a, well, stalker!). She showed me the exercises she does. My goal is to do this at least three times a week (ugh). I will do this.
This morning I got my ass out of bed and ran 3 miles with a friend who is also doing the Tough Mudder. A little role reversal. She is more out of shape than I am. We tried to stay positive that at least we are out in the morning air DOING SOMETHING about it. And tonight I don't have to run. But I think I'll get to the gym and swim.

So I'm down from last week, but not from where I started. I haven't been to the gym in over a week. Ugh, I need some motivation since even the threat of my clothes not fitting does not seem to be helping. And I'm back to studying, more time sitting on my butt. I will get up early and go to the gym. Focused....
Hi all,
So I am amazed to report that I weighed in this morning at 136.8. To tell you the truth I was expecting to be in the 140s with the way I ate this past week. I realize I only have 4 weeks left before the cruise and I NEED to be at least in the 120s. I'm going for it!!
Egg whites and black coffee for breakfast. Stayed home today because it took us almost 12 hrs to get home last night!! :( planning on grilled chicken with a green salad for lunch.
Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. I was so happy to see some of you guys!! xoxoxo

TL - do not get discouraged, maybe you were just more bloated, or something. You are moving and eating right, it will get you results. Me, on the other hand, not moving and not eating as well as I could be. I shouldn't expect anything.

oh no! 183??
how i gained six pounds in the the last week is beyond me. I've upped my running. Added more gym time. Moved more during the day.

Brian's fighting something off, which means I feel bad getting up early since he'll get up when I get up and he needs his sleep. I will be going horseback riding some this weekend so I'll be outside. Hello
Hi all, sorry I've been absent. The past few weeks have been a whirlwind of travel. right now I'm in Hudson NY. Will not be able to weigh in tomorrow.
I have been having such a hard time getting on track with food. I feel like with all the travel and exhaustion (I can't remember the last time I slept for more than 5 hours) that I just have no will to try. I had a lame workout (but a workout nonetheless) on Saturday. Ran/Walked 2 miles. I need to get in the right mindset and I guess that won't be until after Thanksgiving, where I suspect (and hope) that I will be able to stay grounded until the cruise. I feel so scattered and I also feel terrible that I so often leave Dan with puppy and kitten duty. Sigh...
Had a black coffee this morning and egg white veggie flatbread. I ordered it without cheese but for some reason, here in Hudson, they ALWAYS have cheese. I was secretly happy about it though!! lol
Hope everyone's doing great. Looking forward to seeing some of you this weekend.

feeling a little better
So i've been to the gym twice this week, Tues am and this morning. I'm planning on going tomorrow am and sunday.
My next CPA exam test is monday, so I will be sitting on my butt studying the rest of the weekend. Hopefully only eating healthy snacky things.

shopping for jeans
yikes. I did not want to buy a pair of size 14's but the 12's were just a bit too snug. *sigh*
ok. I am using this as motivation to get to the gym more. The weekend retreat was healthy eating and no late night snacking but I still ahve a hard time getting up to go for a morning run.
I have the week off (mostly) from work and am pampering myself with a little (not christmas) shopping and decided to through a run in this afternoon. Turned into 45 minutes of joy. I love to run outside, why do I deprive myself of this? Why does it seem like such a chore until I'm in it?
I have to remember how much I love it. Perhaps tomorrow I'll treat myself to new sneakers. At least my feet haven't gotten any bigger! Hee hee hee.

Weekends
So I've been MIA for a couple weeks and it certainly wasn't because I've been busy working out! I feel completely gross today after a weekend of drinking plus pizza yesterday. My pants feel tight! My plan is to go to the gym at work today so I can at least get 30 minutes of cardio in. This is my last week of school so I'm hoping next week I can get back to the gym more regularly...we'll see though. I'm not having much faith in myself sticking to a workout routine lately. Hopefully everyone else is doing better than me!

Grocery shopping
So I stopped at the grocery store this morning and bought more tea and apples and a salad for lunch. I'm definitely planning on going to the gym tonight. I'm hoping Brian and I can get back into a good dinner and leftovers routine. And I can start getting up early and working out again. I still need to keep studying though, my test I was supposed to take got canceled because the testing center had no power. Hopefully I can get it rescheduled for later this month.
Anyway, I hope everyone's doing well - I noticed we're not posting as much as we did for the first round back in 2009. I think it helps to post or email because we know we're all struggling and it reminds us of what we are trying to accomplish. I know I feel better and more inclined to make better choices after I look at the blog.

pushing through
This week is especially unscheduled at work - lots of standing around waiting for problems to fix. Leaves me reaching for unhealthy snacks as a part of boredom/frustration... So today I brought in a six pack of seltzer water and a basket of fruit to combat all the Halloween candy floating around.
Last night I plodded out 6 miles on the treadmill. Kill me now. I've stopped running by myself at night outside. I has been living in a nothing-will-happen-to-me bubble but suddenly am acutely aware that I live in Philadelphia and bad shit happens. I haven't been to running club in 2 months - all work related and extremely frustrating.

I hate the treadmill.
I ate well today for breakfast and lunch, and promised myself I would work out after work. Got dressed and went to the workout room. I just could NOT get into it. I don't know what it is about the treadmill but I hate it!!!!! I did 13 minutes, only a few of those minutes running. Sigh. I am going to ask around tomorrow to find a well-lit place near the hotel to run.
Got salads last night at Walmart to stash in the room for lunch and/or dinner this week. Having the salad now. It's yummy and healthy but I'm still bummed about my work out... or lack there of :(

173.2. It's in the right direction. So I'll take that. I've been battling a cold, but spent Saturday night in Boston visiting friends, which meant bad food and too much booze. :)

136 - so the portion size is hopefully helping, now I just need to get my butt to the gym again. I did have 2ish glasses of wine last night, but it was Halloween. I'm definitely cutting back on my glass of wine at dinner though. Only for special nights.

I stuck with my eating plan yesterday until the 4 pm snack attack. chocolate kisses and parmesan pita chips. ugh. Recovered at the gym and had a pear and cheese for an after work out snack instead of a full dinner.
I am prepared with my meal plan again today. I have a 4 pm meeting so hopefully will avoid the late afternoon train wreck!
